Process

My work is a collaborative process between the therapist (myself) and client aimed at facilitating change and improving the quality of life. Through in depth talk therapy we will explore the unconscious mind, become more self-aware of our past experiences and how they may shape our current behavior and emotion, develop healthy coping strategies, and strengthen the client’s relationship with themselves and their loved ones.

Approach

My approach to psychotherapy begins with what the patient brings, more specifically their core beliefs about themselves, others, and the world. We develop these core beliefs as a child and when we are young they are used as a survival strategy. Later as adults, this outline may interfere with our ability to develop fulfilling lives, healthy relationships, and inner peace. 

During our work together we will explore how you got to where you are in life. You will gain clarity around your individual and relational patterns and start new patterns with your therapist and others. The therapeutic relationship between patient and therapist is key to a successful outcome. There needs to be authentic trust and intimacy. I look forward to exploring what gets in the way of you having a more fulfilling life and supporting change in meaningful ways.
